CERAMIC COATING
A ceramic coating is a great product that can help protect your vehicle for years. It can keep your vehicle looking great, as well as prevent damage to your vehicle’s paint. We like to keep things simple, and only offer two semi-permanent coatings that provide long term protection. Since long-term coatings are not for everyone, we do offer ceramic infused waxes that perform great without forming a semi-permanent bond to your vehicle's paint.
At Mumford Auto Solutions, we provide quality and honest work. While ceramic coatings are a great investment and will help protect your vehicle's paint, nothing on the market is bulletproof. On this page, you will learn what ceramic coatings CAN and CANNOT do. Please refer to this as you are considering a coating. To keep things simple and straight-forward, we only offer two brands of coatings, which we have found to produce the best results.

One layer of 9H ceramic
One layer of “Light” as a Top Coat
One Layer of 9H on plastics & wheels
Additional layer(s) of 9H ceramic can be installed, providing upwards of seven years protection.

Protection from Harmful UV Rays

THINGS THAT A CERAMIC COATING CANNOT DO.
Every product in the world has its downside. These are not deal breakers, just things that a ceramic coating just cannot do. A ceramic coating will not protect your car from the usual threats such as scratches, swirl marks, and rock chips. Despite its blending properties, it still retains the characteristics of paint. This is why you should still expect your car to be at the receiving end of these common, undesirable elements.
Protection from Water Spotting
After the application of a ceramic coating, water-based contaminants will bead on your car’s surface and eventually slide off. HOWEVER, they still contain natural minerals and soluble particles that will stay on the surface even after the water has evaporated. A ceramic coating cannot get rid of the water spots that are produced as a result, removal of which will require a far more hands-on approach.
Stop the Need for Car Wash
You will still need to regularly wash your car. A layer of ceramic coating does not give your car superpowers to auto-clean itself. Regular and proper wash methods are required as a part of coating maintenance.
